Motorola Droid X^2 has Already been Rooted

Android is one of the leading platforms nowadays, and two really popular smartphones — the Motorola Droid X^2 and the HTC Incredible S (you have already read a lot about the Droid X^2 on our blog, and you can learn more about HTC’s flagship from this HTC Incredible S Review) — are based on it. Both smartphones are in the center of geeks’ attention, and the fact that the Droid X^2 has already been rooted is a good evidence of it.

The Motorola Droid X^2 was launched only yesterday, and this made me wonder if all Android devices are hacked so soon. But no, as far as I know, the HTC Incredible S has never been rooted, and this is very curious…

Both handsets were launched with Android 2.2 pre-loaded, but if the Motorola Droid X^2 can be upgraded to Gingerbread, HTC’s device can get even Android 2.4 version. Anyway, the time will show what the phones’ limits are, but this time the Droid X^2 was rooted using GingerBreak. This method has been developed especially for Gingerbread, but as you see it works for Froyo, too.

It’s clear there are not many feedbacks about the rooted Droid X^2, so if you risk and try it out, share your opinion with us.
