When the Motorola Atrix 4G first appeared in the stocks of AT&T, we thought this wasn’t going to be the only version of the device. The next carrier which was guessed to come up with an Atrix-like smartphone was Sprint.
I guess this is going to turn into reality as more info is leaked now. The dimensions of the smartphone are going to be something in between the Motorola Droid X and the Motorola Droid X2, which means that we are going to get some 4.3 inch smartphone. The device will most likely support that fancy 4G radio available from Sprint. As for the rest of the specs, we guess it will have a qHD display and a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor.
The hardware package of the smartphone is obvious, as this is the part that makes the device identical with the original Motorola Atrix 4G. The smartphone is expected to be called the Motorola Photon 4G. While rolling around the earlier docs we found that Wi-Fi support of the device was received back in April, when the handset still had the codename MB855.
There are no docs about the device found in FCC, which doesn’t necessarily mean that the release of the device will not take place soon. I think it will get around sometime in June or at least no later than September of this year.
